Ingredients
For the Double Crunch Shrimp
- 1 lb (450 g) large shrimp, peeled & deveined
- 1 cup (240 ml) buttermilk
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- ½ tsp cayenne pepper
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp salt
For the Breading
- 1 cup (120 g) all-purpose flour
- ½ cup (60 g) cornstarch
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp Cajun seasoning
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp onion powder
- 1 egg + ¼ cup (60 ml) water, whisked for egg wash
- Oil, for frying
For the Asian Zing Sauce
- ½ cup (120 ml) sweet chili sauce
- 2 tbsp (30 ml) honey
- 1 tbsp (15 ml) soy sauce
- 1 tbsp (15 g) sriracha
- 1 tbsp (14 g) butter
- 1 tsp red pepper flakes
- 1 tsp ginger, grated
- 1 tsp garlic, minced
For the Candied Yams 🍠
- 3 large sweet potatoes, peeled & cubed (about 900 g / 2 lbs)
- ½ cup (100 g) brown sugar
- ¼ cup (57 g) butter
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- ¼ tsp nutmeg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
For the Mac & Cheese 🧀
- 2 cups (200 g) elbow macaroni
- 2 tbsp (28 g) butter
- 2 tbsp (16 g) flour
- 1 cup (240 ml) heavy cream
- 1 cup (240 ml) milk
- 1 ½ cups (170 g) cheddar cheese, shredded
- ½ cup (60 g) mozzarella cheese, shredded
