Directions

  1. Preheat the Oven
    Preheat your oven to 220°C (425°F) to ensure a crispy outer skin.
  2. Prepare the Potatoes
    Wash and scrub the potatoes thoroughly to remove any dirt. Pat them dry with a kitchen towel.
  3. Season the Skin
    Pierce each potato several times with a fork. Rub them with olive oil, then sprinkle evenly with salt and black pepper.
  4. Bake
    Place the potatoes directly on the oven rack or on a baking tray. Bake for 45–60 minutes, depending on size, until the skins are crisp and a fork slides easily into the center.
  5. Check for Doneness
    The potato should feel soft when gently squeezed and the inside should be light and fluffy.
  6. Serve
    Slice open the top, fluff the inside with a fork, and add your favorite toppings like butter, cheese, sour cream, or green onions.
