Directions
- Season the shrimp:
In a large bowl, toss the shrimp with olive oil, Cajun seasoning, salt, and black pepper until evenly coated. - Heat the skillet:
Place a large skillet over medium-high heat and allow it to get hot before adding the shrimp. - Sear the shrimp:
Add the seasoned shrimp in a single layer and cook for about 2–3 minutes per side until they turn pink and slightly golden. Remove from the skillet and set aside. - Melt the butter:
In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium and melt the unsalted butter. - Sauté the garlic:
Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant but not browned. - Add the spices:
Stir in smoked paprika and cayenne pepper for that signature Cajun kick. - Sweeten the sauce (optional):
Add honey to balance out the heat and enhance the flavor of the butter sauce. - Add lemon juice:
Pour in the lemon juice and allow the sauce to simmer gently for 2–3 minutes until slightly thickened. - Return the shrimp:
Add the cooked shrimp back into the skillet and toss well to coat them fully in the buttery Cajun sauce. - Finish & garnish:
Sprinkle freshly chopped parsley over the top and serve immediately while hot.
