Directions

  1. Make the garlic butter shrimp:
    • Heat the olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium heat until the butter melts.
    • Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
    • Add shrimp and season with Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, cayenne (if using), garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Stir to coat evenly.
    • Cook shrimp for 2–3 minutes per side until pink, opaque, and just cooked through.
    • Optional: Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the shrimp for brightness.
    • Garnish with chopped parsley.
  2. Prepare the toasted bread:
    • Preheat oven to 190°C (375°F).
    • Brush both sides of bread slices with melted butter and sprinkle with garlic powder and parsley.
    • Place on a baking sheet and bake 7–10 minutes until golden and crispy.
  3. Serve:
    • Arrange shrimp on a plate or serving dish. Serve with toasted bread on the side. Dip the bread into the garlicky, buttery sauce for maximum flavor.
