Ingredients

For the pasta

  • 18–20 jumbo pasta shells (about 250 g / 9 oz)
  • Water for boiling
  • 1 teaspoon salt (5 g)

For the shrimp filling

  • 300 g cooked shrimp, chopped (10 oz)
  • 1 tablespoon butter (15 g)
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced (9 g)
  • 250 g ricotta cheese (1 cup / 9 oz)
  • 100 g mozzarella cheese, shredded (1 cup / 3.5 oz), plus extra for topping
  • 50 g Parmesan cheese, grated (½ cup / 1.7 oz)
  • 1 large egg, optional (for binding)
  • ½ teaspoon salt (3 g)
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper (2 g)
  • Pinch chili flakes, optional (0.5 g)

For assembling

  • 480 ml Alfredo sauce (2 cups / 16 oz), store-bought or homemade
  • 30 g extra mozzarella for topping (¼ cup / 1 oz)
