The couple married in 1985, and their relationship was often described as passionate and vibrant. Ross once reflected on their time together as filled with excitement, even likening their reunions to “honeymoons.” Their bond carried a sense of adventure, mirroring Naess’s own love for exploration.
However, like many intense relationships, theirs faced challenges. By 2000, they had gone their separate ways. Despite the separation, Ross continued to speak about him with deep affection, later referring to him as the “love of my life.”
