Directions

  1. Prepare the Ingredients
    Peel and finely grate or chop the onion. Grate the fresh ginger and mince or crush the garlic cloves.
  2. Combine Ingredients
    In a small mixing bowl, combine the onion, ginger, and garlic. Stir in the lemon juice and raw honey until evenly mixed.
  3. Adjust Consistency
    If the mixture is too thick, add 1–2 tablespoons of warm water and stir until you reach a syrupy consistency.
  4. Let it Rest
    Cover the mixture and let it sit for 10–15 minutes to allow the flavors to meld and the honey to slightly infuse with the aromatics.
  5. Store the Syrup
    Transfer the syrup to a clean, airtight jar. Store in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
  6. Use
    Take 1–2 teaspoons daily as a health tonic, or add to warm water or tea to soothe a sore throat or boost immunity.
