At first, I believed in him.
He was charming. Confident. Social.
The kind of man who could walk into any room and make people trust him instantly.
I thought that meant potential.
But over time, I realized something:
It wasn’t confidence.
It was appetite.
He didn’t build.
He consumed.
The Distance I Tried to Ignore
Things didn’t collapse overnight.
They changed slowly.
Subtly.
He became:
- More distant
- More secretive
- More protective of his phone
Conversations became shorter.
Affection became performative.
And silence… became normal.
Deep down, I knew something was wrong.
