Directions

  1. Cook the fried rice: Heat butter in a pan over medium heat. Scramble the egg, then add cooked rice, soy sauce, sesame oil, and green onion. Stir-fry until rice is golden and heated through.
  2. Sauté the veggies: In a separate pan, stir-fry broccoli, zucchini, carrots, and onion with soy sauce and sesame oil for 5–7 minutes, until tender-crisp but still vibrant.
  3. Sear the steak & shrimp: Heat butter and garlic in a hot skillet. Add the steak cubes and cook about 2 minutes per side, until browned. Add shrimp and cook until pink and slightly charred. Finish with a splash of soy sauce for flavor.
  4. Optional Yum Yum Sauce: Mix mayonnaise, ketchup, garlic powder, rice vinegar, paprika, and sugar in a small bowl until smooth. Adjust to taste.
  5. Assemble the plate: Spoon the fried rice onto a plate, arrange steak, shrimp, and veggies around it, and serve with yum yum sauce on the side.
