Directions

  1. Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F) and line a baking tray with parchment paper or lightly grease it with oil.
  2. Wash and dry the potatoes thoroughly. You can leave the skin on for added texture and flavor.
  3. Slice the potatoes into thin rounds, about ¼ inch (0.5 cm) thick to ensure even baking.
  4. Arrange the slices on the baking tray in a single layer, making sure they do not overlap.
  5. Brush each slice with olive oil or melted butter on both sides for a golden, crispy finish.
  6. Sprinkle salt, black pepper, garlic powder, paprika, and dried herbs evenly over the slices.
  7. Place the tray in the oven and bake for 20 minutes.
  8. Flip each slice carefully and bake for another 10–15 minutes until crispy and lightly browned.
  9. Remove from the oven and sprinkle with shredded cheese if desired.
  10. Let cool slightly before serving with your favorite toppings or dips.
