Instructions

  1. Cook the lo mein noodles or spaghetti in salted boiling water according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Season the cubed sirloin steak with salt and pepper on all sides.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat and sear the steak cubes for 2–3 minutes per side until browned and juicy. Remove from the pan and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, melt 1 tablespoon of butter and cook the shrimp for about 2–3 minutes until pink and opaque. Remove and set aside with the steak.
  5. Lower the heat to medium and add 4 tablespoons of butter to the same pan. Once melted, sauté the minced garlic for about 1 minute until fragrant and lightly golden.
  6. Stir in the soy sauce, oyster sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, and chili flakes. Let the sauce simmer for 1–2 minutes until slightly thickened and glossy.
  7. Add the cooked noodles to the pan and toss gently until they’re fully coated in the garlicky sauce.
  8. Return the shrimp and steak to the skillet and mix everything together until heated through and well combined.
  9. Sprinkle with chopped green onions, sesame seeds, and fresh herbs before serving warm.
