#### Part 1: A Life-Saving Decision That Felt Like Love
I never thought I’d be the kind of person writing something like this at night, but here we are.
My name is Meredith, and until recently, I believed my life was stable—ordinary, but solid. I met Daniel when I was 28. He was charming in a quiet, dependable way: he remembered small details, my favorite coffee order, and the movies I loved. We built a life together, got married two years later, and eventually had two children, Ella and Max. We had a home, routines, school concerts, and the usual chaos of family life.

I didn’t think about consequences. I only thought about saving him.
When the results confirmed I was a match, I felt a strange mix of relief and fear. I cried in the car that day while Daniel held my hand and told me he didn’t deserve me. I believed him when he promised he would spend the rest of his life making it up to me.
At the time, it felt like love at its strongest point.
