Directions
- Cook the pasta:
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook until al dente according to package instructions. Reserve ½ cup of pasta water and drain. Set aside. - Season the seafood:
Toss the shrimp and lobster with half of the Cajun seasoning to evenly coat. - Cook shrimp and lobster:
Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Sear the seasoned shrimp and lobster until just cooked, about 2–3 minutes per side. Remove from skillet and set aside. - Sauté aromatics:
In the same skillet, add diced onion and minced garlic. Cook until softened and fragrant, about 2–3 minutes. Stir in the remaining Cajun seasoning and smoked paprika to toast the spices lightly. - Make the sauce:
Pour in the broth and heavy cream, bringing the mixture to a gentle simmer. Allow it to thicken slightly, about 5 minutes. Stir in Parmesan cheese until the sauce becomes smooth and velvety. - Combine pasta and sauce:
Add the cooked pasta to the skillet, tossing thoroughly to coat with the creamy Cajun sauce. If the sauce is too thick, add a splash of the reserved pasta water to reach the desired consistency. - Finish with seafood:
Return the shrimp and lobster to the skillet. Gently toss to combine and simmer for 2 minutes, allowing the seafood to absorb the sauce’s flavors. - Garnish and serve:
Sprinkle with fresh parsley and serve immediately with lemon wedges on the side for a bright, zesty finish.
