A recent incident at a gas station in Alabama has gained widespread attention online after a traveling father was confronted and police were called while he was using a women’s restroom with his two young daughters. The situation quickly escalated into a viral discussion on social media, raising questions about public restroom access, safety, and appropriate facilities for families traveling with children. The father, identified as Tyler Brodsky from Oklahoma, was reportedly driving home from Florida with his two daughters when he stopped at a QuikTrip gas station in Alabama.
During the stop, he made the decision to use the women’s restroom instead of the men’s restroom. According to his explanation shared later on social media, he did so after checking that the women’s restroom was empty and believing it would be a safer and more appropriate option for his young children. Brodsky stated that his decision was based on concerns about exposing his daughters to a men’s restroom environment that he described as crowded and less suitable for young children. He said he wanted to ensure their comfort and safety while helping them wash their hands and use the facilities.
His account suggests that his intention was to avoid discomfort or potential hygiene concerns for his children during a family road trip. While Brodsky and his daughters were inside the restroom, another man approached the doorway and objected to their presence. According to recordings and reports shared online, the individual expressed strong disagreement and proceeded to call emergency services. In the 911 call, he described seeing a man with two young girls inside the women’s restroom and reported feeling uncomfortable with the situation.
