Directions

  1. Prepare the crab legs: If frozen, thaw crab legs overnight in the refrigerator or under cold running water. Trim any excess shells if necessary.
  2. Cook the crab legs:
    • Boil: Fill a large pot with water and bring to a boil. Add Old Bay seasoning and crab legs. Boil 4–6 minutes until heated through.
    • Steam: Place crab legs in a steamer basket over boiling water. Cover and steam 5–7 minutes.
    • Oven-bake: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Arrange crab legs on a baking sheet, sprinkle with Old Bay, cover with foil, and bake 8–10 minutes.
  3. Make the garlic butter sauce: In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt butter. Add minced garlic, Old Bay, paprika, and red pepper flakes. Sauté 1–2 minutes until fragrant. Stir in lemon juice and remove from heat.
  4. Serve: Arrange crab legs on a large platter. Pour garlic butter sauce over the top and sprinkle with chopped parsley. Serve immediately with lemon wedges on the side.
