Directions
- Prepare the crab legs: If frozen, thaw crab legs overnight in the refrigerator or under cold running water. Trim any excess shells if necessary.
- Cook the crab legs:
- Boil: Fill a large pot with water and bring to a boil. Add Old Bay seasoning and crab legs. Boil 4–6 minutes until heated through.
- Steam: Place crab legs in a steamer basket over boiling water. Cover and steam 5–7 minutes.
- Oven-bake: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Arrange crab legs on a baking sheet, sprinkle with Old Bay, cover with foil, and bake 8–10 minutes.
- Make the garlic butter sauce: In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt butter. Add minced garlic, Old Bay, paprika, and red pepper flakes. Sauté 1–2 minutes until fragrant. Stir in lemon juice and remove from heat.
- Serve: Arrange crab legs on a large platter. Pour garlic butter sauce over the top and sprinkle with chopped parsley. Serve immediately with lemon wedges on the side.
