Directions
- Prep the shrimp: Pat shrimp dry with paper towels. Season lightly with salt, pepper, and paprika.
- Heat the pan: In a large skillet, heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat until melted and fragrant.
- Cook the shrimp: Add the shrimp to the pan in a single layer. Cook 2–3 minutes on one side until pink and slightly opaque. Flip and cook another 1–2 minutes until just done. Remove shrimp from pan and set aside.
- Make the garlic butter sauce: In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium-low. Add remaining butter and minced garlic. Sauté for 30–60 seconds until fragrant, being careful not to burn the garlic. Add red pepper flakes if using.
- Combine shrimp and sauce: Return cooked shrimp to the pan. Toss to coat evenly with the garlic butter sauce. Drizzle lemon juice over the top and sprinkle with chopped parsley.
- Serve immediately: Plate the shrimp with your choice of rice, pasta, or bread. Garnish with additional lemon wedges if desired.
