Directions

  1. Prep the shrimp:
    Pat the shrimp dry with paper towels. Season lightly with salt, black pepper, and paprika.
  2. Sauté the garlic:
    Heat butter and olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Once melted, add minced garlic and sauté 30–60 seconds until fragrant, being careful not to let it brown.
  3. Cook the shrimp:
    Place shrimp in a single layer in the skillet. Cook for 2–3 minutes on one side until they start turning pink. Flip and cook another 1–2 minutes until opaque and slightly golden.
  4. Finish with lemon and herbs:
    Stir in fresh lemon juice and chopped parsley. Spoon the garlic butter sauce over the shrimp to coat evenly. Add a pinch of red pepper flakes if desired for a hint of heat.
  5. Serve:
    Serve immediately over cooked pasta, steamed rice, mashed potatoes, or alongside crusty garlic bread for a complete meal.
