Directions

  1. Prepare the shrimp: Pat the shrimp dry with a paper towel and season lightly with salt and black pepper.
  2. Heat the butter and oil: In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter with olive oil until the butter begins to bubble.
  3. Cook the garlic: Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute, until fragrant but not browned.
  4. Cook the shrimp: Add shrimp in a single layer. Cook 2–3 minutes per side until pink, opaque, and just cooked through.
  5. Add finishing touches: Sprinkle in red chili flakes (if using), chopped parsley, and extra black pepper. Toss the shrimp gently to coat evenly in the garlic butter sauce.
  6. Serve: Transfer the shrimp to a serving bowl and drizzle with any remaining sauce from the pan. Serve immediately with lemon wedges on the side for a fresh, citrusy finish.
