Garlic Fried Shrimp

Directions

  1. Pat the shrimp dry with paper towels. If using the batter, mix flour, cornstarch, salt, and pepper in a shallow bowl, then coat each shrimp lightly.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Add shrimp to the skillet in a single layer. Cook for 2–3 minutes per side until golden brown and just cooked through. Avoid overcrowding the pan to ensure crispiness.
  4. If using batter, shake off excess before cooking. Cook the shrimp until the coating is golden and the shrimp is opaque inside.
  5. Remove shrimp from the skillet and place on a plate lined with paper towels to absorb excess oil.
  6. Sprinkle with chili flakes if desired and garnish with fresh parsley. Serve immediately with lemon wedges on the side.
