Directions
- Prepare the Boiling Liquid
In a large stockpot, combine water, Old Bay seasoning, paprika, cayenne, smashed garlic, lemon halves, and bay leaves. Bring to a rolling boil. - Cook Potatoes and Corn
Add quartered potatoes to the boiling liquid first, and cook for 10 minutes. Add corn and sausage slices; cook another 5 minutes until potatoes are tender. - Add the Seafood
Carefully add crab legs, shrimp, and mussels or clams. Cover and cook for 5–7 minutes, or until shrimp turn pink and shellfish open. Discard any unopened shellfish. - Drain and Add Butter
Drain the boil and transfer to a large serving platter or a newspaper-lined table for a traditional presentation. Melt the butter and drizzle over the seafood mixture for extra richness. - Serve
Sprinkle with extra seasoning if desired and serve immediately with lemon wedges for squeezing over the seafood.
