For the surf & turf

  • 250 g steak (ribeye or sirloin), thinly sliced (8–9 oz)
  • 200 g shrimp, peeled and deveined (7 oz)
  • 2 tablespoons butter (30 g)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced (6 g)
  • 1 teaspoon salt (5 g)
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper (2 g)
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika (3 g)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (15 ml)

For the nachos

  • 200 g tortilla chips (7 oz)
  • 150 g shredded cheddar cheese (1½ cups / 5 oz)
  • 100 g mozzarella cheese (1 cup / 3.5 oz)
  • 1 small red onion, finely chopped (70 g)
  • 1 tomato, diced (100 g)
  • 1 jalapeño, sliced
  • 1 avocado, diced
  • 2 tablespoons chopped cilantro (8 g)

For toppings

  • 3 tablespoons sour cream (45 ml)
  • 2 tablespoons guacamole (30 g)
  • 2 tablespoons salsa (30 g)
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice (15 ml)
