Sweet Chili Garlic Shrimp

Directions

  1. Pat the shrimp dry with paper towels and season with salt and black pepper.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the shrimp in a single layer and cook for 2–3 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove shrimp from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Be careful not to burn the garlic.
  4. Lower the heat to medium and pour in the sweet chili sauce, soy sauce, honey, red chili flakes, and rice vinegar. Stir and let the sauce simmer for 1–2 minutes until slightly thickened.
  5. Return the cooked shrimp to the skillet and toss gently to coat evenly in the sauce. Cook for an additional 1–2 minutes to heat through and let the flavors meld.
  6. Transfer shrimp to a serving dish, sprinkle with chopped cilantro and sesame seeds, and serve with lime wedges on the side.
