The Day I Chose My Wife Over Silence

Part 1: A Surprise That Turned Into Shock

That afternoon, work ended unexpectedly early when the company lost power. By 11 a.m., we were all dismissed. Instead of going somewhere else, I saw it as the perfect opportunity to surprise my wife.

It wasn’t proper food.

It was spoiled rice mixed with fish heads and bones—something no one should ever have to eat.

I froze.

I had been sending a large amount of money every month to ensure she was cared for.

So why was she eating this… in secret?
