Part 2: A Difficult Discovery
When Rowan arrived at the house, the silence immediately felt unsettling. Inside, he found Micah sitting quietly, clearly exhausted and overwhelmed. Elsie was lying nearby, weak and unresponsive.
Rowan acted quickly. He gathered both children and rushed them to the hospital, where medical staff immediately took over. After careful examination, doctors confirmed that Elsie was suffering from dehydration and illness, made worse by the lack of proper food and care. Thankfully, she was treated in time and began to recover.
As Rowan processed everything, he was informed of another unexpected detail: their mother, Delaney, had been involved in an accident and had been hospitalized without identification. She had not intentionally abandoned the children, but the situation had still left them alone and vulnerable.
This moment became a turning point. Rowan realized that regardless of the circumstances, the children needed stability, safety, and consistent care above all else.
