Part 1: A Journey That Took a Tragic Turn

What began as a joyful spring break trip for four teenagers from Horizon Christian Academy ended in a heartbreaking incident that deeply affected two communities.

The students — Jackson Mobley, Jaylyn Fehr, Charlotte Martin, and Jamison Mobley — were traveling from Cumming to St. George Island for what was meant to be a relaxing getaway filled with friendship and celebration.

While driving along Highway 65 in Franklin County, their vehicle left the road, resulting in a devastating crash. Emergency responders quickly arrived, and several bystanders, including an off-duty officer, stepped in to help. Their swift actions played a crucial role in saving Jamison, who was airlifted to a nearby hospital and continues to recover.

Sadly, Jackson, Jaylyn, and Charlotte did not survive.

Authorities, including the Florida Highway Patrol and the local sheriff’s office, are still investigating the cause of the accident. Officials also reminded the public of the importance of road safety measures, including seatbelt use.
