Directions
- Prepare the garlic bread:
Preheat your oven to 190°C (375°F). In a mix, combine melted butter, garlic, parsley, and a pinch of salt. - Brush and bake:
Spread the garlic butter generously over each slice of bread. Arrange on a baking tray and bake for 10–12 minutes until golden and crisp at the edges. - Start the seafood base:
Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. - Cook shrimp:
Add shrimp to the skillet and cook for 2–3 minutes per side until they turn pink and lightly golden. - Add mussels:
Stir in the cleaned mussels. Cover the skillet and allow them to steam for 3–5 minutes until they open. Discard any that remain closed. - Make the creamy sauce:
Pour in the heavy cream, chicken broth, and optional white wine. Stir gently to combine. - Season and simmer:
Add smoked paprika, black pepper, and salt. Let the sauce simmer for 3–5 minutes until slightly thickened and aromatic. - Finish the sauce:
Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and the sauce becomes smooth and creamy. - Serve:
Transfer seafood and sauce to a serving dish. Sprinkle with chopped parsley and serve immediately with warm garlic bread.
